Marry a Man Who Plans the Date Night

At that point, Saturday night could’ve been a complete disaster, and I still would’ve been thrilled with the fact that I had zero involvement in the planning or coordination.😂
The Surprise 💖
But that didn’t matter because the night was absolutely perfect!
Zach told me to get dressed up. Now, neither of us is really a “fancy” person, but it was fun to get ready to go out for a night on the town as a special treat.
He reserved a table at Fleming's Steakhouse. They had a valet park our car, which told me this place was FANCY! Zach held nothing back for our 15th wedding anniversary!
A Look Back 💍
We got married young and had a family pretty much right away. So we couldn’t really afford to go out for fancy date nights before we had kids.
This night was a beautiful reminder of just how far we’ve come in the last 15 years.
To be able to sneak away for a dinner out without our teenage kids.
To be able to afford a surprise anniversary date night.
To be able to see how our love has grown and continues to thrive.
The Perfect Evening 🍷
We shared a filet mignon and some sides, and we couldn’t leave without getting the molten lava cake for dessert…it’s literally one of my all-time favorites!
We took our time on the way there and the way back to chat about life. The kids. Our dreams, big and small.
We are now getting to actually date each other again after raising our kids. And it’s quite a beautiful stage of life.
So I guess what I’m trying to say is - take initiative and plan the date night.
Spend quality time with your spouse, create intentional time together.
Whether it's drive-thru McDonald's or a fancy steak dinner, the effort is what’s most important. 💖
